Narrative
ROCHESTER, WA – Authorities are investigating a three-vehicle crash that killed three people Sunday in north-central Thurston County.
The accident happened early in the morning along I-5 in Rochester, near Rainbow Meadow Farm and the Scatter Creek Rest Area.
Police say that two vehicles collided head-on, killing a man and two women. A third car then struck the first two vehicles.
Authorities have not yet named the victims publicly.
Officials closed the northbound side of the interstate while emergency teams worked at the scene
