Narrative:
SUNCREST, WA – A motorcyclist died, and another driver was hospitalized Friday after a two-vehicle crash along the highway in Suncrest.
The incident happened around 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of Route 291 and Blackstone Way, which is just northwest of Lakeside High School.
The investigation indicates that the northbound motorcyclist collided with a southbound 2021 Subaru Outback as the driver of the latter vehicle turned east onto Blackstone Way.
The force of the collision threw the motorcyclist from his bike, and he died at the scene. Authorities identified him as 19-year-old Nevon Miller.
Medics transported the driver of the Subaru to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
Police say that Miller’s speed may have been a factor in the accident, and they have not ruled out drugs and alcohol.
A full investigation is underway.
