FAIRFIELD, WA –One driver in two-car collision was killed in Fairfield on Saturday night, reports KREM.
The crash took place on State Route 27 when a driver travelling at a high rate of speed struck the trailer of a vehicle that was turning onto 27 to head southbound.
The driver of the speeding vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the second vehicle did not report any injuries.
Investigators believe that impairment may have been a factor in the crash. That investigation is ongoing at the time of this writing.
