Narrative
SPANAWAY, WA – One person died, and two people were hospitalized Sunday after a two-vehicle collision along WA-7 in north-central Pierce County.
The incident happened just before 3 a.m. on WA-7 near milepost 47 in Spanaway, which is south of Tacoma and east of Olympia.
The investigation thus far indicates that a Silver vehicle carrying three occupants attempted a U-turn on the highway and collided with a red vehicle driven by a 14-year-old boy.
The driver of the silver vehicle, identified as 50-year-old Christopher J. Hall, died at the scene of the accident.
Medics transported Hall’s girlfriend, Loliene Johnson, to the hospital with serious injuries. The 14-year-old driver went to Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital with wounds to the face and a broken bone.
A full investigation is underway to determine liability.
