KING COUNTY, WA- A driver died after causing a collision and a fire on I-90 on Saturday evening, KING 5 Staff reports.
The WSP attended to the incident which involved a speeding driver.
This speeding driver attempted to pass a slower vehicle, and, once passing that vehicle, crashed into a side barrier. Upon crashing, this car caught on fire and sent debris onto the main roadway.
The second crash happened when the slower car caught the flaming debris and stopped on the side of the road. This car then caught on fire.
Only one driver died. No injuries were sustained by the other driver.
Westbound lanes were shut for three hours.
