VANCOUVER, WA – A pedestrian died on Friday morning after a vehicle struck him on a sidewalk along a busy roadway in northeast Vancouver.
Police responded to the incident around 6:39 a.m. in the area of Northeast St. Johns Road and Northeast 82nd Street, which is just east of Luke Jensen Sports Park in the Walnut Grove area.
The investigation indicates that a vehicle struck the man on the sidewalk. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and spoke with police.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim, nor have they indicated if charges will be pressed against the driver.
