Truck crash causes 6 hour delay on southbound I-5

BLAINE, WA- A crash closed down all southbound lanes on the interstate near Peach Portal Drive on Wednesday morning, KING 5 Staff reports. Washington State Department of Transportation arrived on the scene at mile marker 273. They found that the truck involved in the accident had leaked fuel onto the interstate. I-5 was closed from about 5:30a.m. up until 11a.m. The WSDOT  oversaw the scene as the vehicles, debris, and fuel were cleaned during this time. A small amount of traffic was allowed to pass starting at 10a.m., before all lanes were reopened. There is not yet an official statement

DUI injury accident in Spokane hospitalizes two women

SPOKANE, WA – An injury collision in Spokane on Thursday hospitalized two women and resulted in a DUI arrest for one driver, reports FOX 28 Spokane. The crash took place close to State Route 2 and Dennison Chattaroy Road when a vehicle driven by Aaric Carr failed to yield during a merge and crash into another vehicle. Two women from that vehicle were taken to the hospital with injuries that were thought to be non-life-threatening. Carr was arrested, though the exact charges were not reported at this time. DUI suspected in crash that killed two in Shelton

SHELTON, WA – A crash on U.S. 101 resulted in two deaths and two hospitalizations in Shelton on Wednesday in what authorities are calling a DUI related accident. According to My Northwest, the accident took place when a motorist crashed into a dump truck after going into the oncoming lane. The driver that crossed the center line to cause the crash is said to be one of the two reported persons who suffered serious injuries. Two-car crash hospitalizes seven people in Cowlitz County

COWLITZ COUNTY, WA – A head-on collision hospitalized seven people on Lewis River Road on Saturday night in what investigators suspect may have been a case of impaired driving. KPTV reports that the accident occurred near Lewis River Road and Little Kalama River road close 8:30 p.m. when a car travelling on Lewis River tried to pass another car by entering the oncoming lane. The car making the illegal passing maneuver struck another car head-on. Two people hurt in crash near Wenatchee; driver facing charges

WENATCHEE, WA – Two people were hospitalized on Highway 97A with critical injuries in a head-on collision Saturday night. NCW Life reports that crash occurred close to midnight when a southbound Toyota Corolla crossed into the oncoming lane and struck the a GMC pickup truck. Both drivers were treated for their injuries at Harborview Medical center in Seattle. The driver of the Toyota, 26-year-old Juan Orrosco-Sanchez, has been charged with vehicular assault. Four hospitalized after three-car wreck on SR 7

LEWIS COUNTY, WA – Impairment was reportedly a factor in a three-vehicle crash that hospitalized four people on Sunday afternoon. The Chronicle reports that the series of accidents began close to 5:15 p.m. at milepost seven on State Route 7 when a southbound Honda Pilot struck the rear of a Ford Focus which in turn struck a Subaru Legacy in the oncoming lane.
