SKAMANIA COUNTY, WA- A person was killed when forced to hit a truck by a reckless driver on Highway 14 on Oct. 15, The Columbian reports.
Police are searching for witnesses as they investigate a crash where the at-fault driver in a red car caused the incident at milepost 54 but escaped unharmed.
The crash occurred at 4:05p.m.
The driver of the red vehicle attempted to pass a truck while traffic was coming on the opposite lane. The main victim of the accident was in one of those cars coming towards the reckless driver. This car swerved to avoid the red car and drove right into a truck. These two vehicles caught on fire while the red car drove away.
No information was provided on whether the truck driver sustained any injuries, but the driver of the vehicle that swerved into the truck died from the collision.
