Narrative
SEATTLE, WA – One person died, and several people went to the hospital after a two-vehicle collision that caused a bus to crash into a Seattle building.
The incident happened around 3:40 p.m. in the area of 5th Avenue and Battery Street, which is southwest of Denny Park.
The investigation indicates that a southbound red sedan struck an eastbound bus, causing the bus to leave the roadway and hit a female pedestrian on the sidewalk. She died at the scene. Authorities have not yet released her identity to the public.
Police say the bus also struck a building following the initial collision with the vehicle.
At least eight people went to the hospital with injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
