Narrative
SEATTLE, WA – A woman died on Thursday morning in south Seattle after a vehicle struck her at a busy intersection near the light rail.
The incident happened around 7 a.m. near the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Way South and South Morgan Street, which is just southwest of Brighton Playfield.
Police say that a southbound driver may have been impaired when he struck the woman.
Medics performed CPR, but the woman died at the scene of the accident. Authorities have not yet released her identity to the public.
The investigation is ongoing.
