FEDERAL WAY, WA – A crash on I-5 near Federal Way claimed the lives of three individuals in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Troopers say the incident occurred around 3:50 a.m. when a car traveling northbound at a high rate of speed collided with a box truck near S 336th St.
All three occupants of the car suffered fatal injuries in the crash.
The truck’s driver reportedly pulled to the side of the roadway and attempted to extinguish the fire sparked as a result of the crash.
The cause of the deadly collision remains under investigation.
