FERRY COUNTY, WA- The two drivers involved in a crash in Ferry County were both hospitalized on Wednesday, The Spokesman-Review reports.
36 year-old Shelly M. Ganon of Kettle Falls was responsible for the crash.
Sometime around 11:30p.m., Ganon was driving in the wrong direction on Highway 395 in a 2010 Nissan Frontier. As she drove southbound on the northbound lanes, she crashed head-on into a 1997 Ford F-150 which was driving north.
Ganon was severely injured, air lifted out, and hospitalized at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center. She had not been wearing a seatbelt during the accident.
The victim was also injured and was hospitalized in Colville’s Mount Carmel Hospital. This driver was wearing a seatbelt when the trucks crashed.
Ganon is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the crash.
Lanes were reopened by 11:15a.m.
