LEWIS COUNTY, WA – Impairment was reportedly a factor in a three-vehicle crash that hospitalized four people on Sunday afternoon.
The Chronicle reports that the series of accidents began close to 5:15 p.m. at milepost seven on State Route 7 when a southbound Honda Pilot struck the rear of a Ford Focus which in turn struck a Subaru Legacy in the oncoming lane.
The drivers of the Honda and the Subaru were both taken to Arbor Health Hospital for medical treatment. The driver of the Honda and a passenger in that vehicle were hospitalized at Harborview Medical Center. The extent of the injuries sustained is unknown on all counts.
The driver of the Honda, Nicole Hedstrom of Tacoma, 30, may face charges including vehicular assault and driving under the influence.
