SEATAC, WA – A four-car pileup on Interstate 5 resulted in one hospitalization and one person charged with assault on Thursday night.
KOMO news reports that the accident took place at approximately 8:15 p.m. near the 188th Street exit when the four vehicles collided in the southbound lane.
One injured motorist was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. One motorist reportedly had to be removed from their vehicle by responders.
One of the drivers involved in the accident was arrested for assault, and authorities suspect that the crash may have been caused in part by an altercation.
The pile-up caused significant delays on I-5 for several hours following the crash.
